We are pleased to report that the Responsible Commodities Facility (RCF) has been included in the pipeline of projects that will be part of Brazil’s updated Country Programme with the Green Climate Fund (GCF), covering the short-term period of 2025–2027.
The pipeline is the result of a technical, transparent, and participatory process led by the National Designated Authority (NDA) – held by the Ministry of Finance – based on pre-established criteria validated through consultations with a wide range of stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as civil society.
A total of eight proposals were selected for inclusion in this initial indicative pipeline, amounting to approximately USD 1 billion in estimated value. This announcement marks a milestone in strengthening Brazil’s leadership in GCF programming and reflects a more strategic and structured approach to international climate finance.
The full note, including details on all of the selected projects, is available here.
